Two Pennsylvania utilities continue to see a weekly decline in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From about April 11 to April 17 (reporting date varies slightly by utility), PPL and West Penn Power both saw a decline in the number of residential accounts shopping. It's the second consecutive week of declining residential shopping at PPL, and third consecutive week of declining residential shopping at West Penn Power.

From about April 11 to April 17, the state, in aggregate, saw growth in residential shopping of only 2,800 accounts, essentially flat versus the week-ago growth of 2,900 accounts.

Specifically, the weekly net growth (loss) in residential shoppers at each utility from April 11 to April 17 was as follows:

Duquesne Light 269
Met-Ed 894
PECO 1,040
Penelec 583
Penn Power 173
PPL (118)
West Penn Power (25)
