Integrys Energy Services Picks Up Even More Customers from Competitor's Book

An Integrys Energy Services company has assumed responsibility for serving a customer book of retail natural gas customers in the District of Columbia.

Specifically, Pepco Energy Services, Inc. (PES) informed the D.C. PSC that it had entered into an agreement with Integrys Energy Services - Natural Gas LLC, whereby Integrys Energy Services - Natural Gas LLC, "will serve as the authorized agent for all matters relating to the supply of natural gas to PES customers throughout the remaining term of the existing customer contracts."

"As PES' agent, Integrys Energy Services will be the provider of natural gas supply, nominating, balancing and scheduling services as well as billing and customer service," PES said in a notice to the D.C. PSC.

As exclusively reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com earlier this week, Integrys Energy Services - Natural Gas LLC entered into an agreement to assume responsibility for serving Pepco Energy Services' Maryland natural gas customers as well.

Separately, Integrys Energy Services is also acquiring retail supplier Compass Energy Services.

As of April 1, 2013, Pepco Energy Services was serving 4 commercial and industrial natural gas customer contracts in the District of Columbia, with such contracts expiring by the end of December 2013. Through the remaining contract term, PES said that these customers are expected to use approximately 4,700 dekatherms of natural gas

In addition, as of April 1, 2013, Pepco Energy Services had commitments to the General Services Administration (GSA) to supply natural gas through May 2014, in an expected quantity of approximately 1.8 million dekatherms. Integrys Energy Services will assume responsibility for supplying these contracts as well.
