The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted new Prices to Compare for Commonwealth Edison and Ameren for the period starting June 1, 2013.

ComEd's Price to Compare will decrease from approximately 8.3 cents per kWh for the period October 2012 to May 2013 to 5.511 cents per kWh for the period June 2013 to September 2013. The ComEd Price to Compare for October 2013 to May 2014 will be 5.473 cents per kWh.

Though the ICC said in a news release that the listed Prices to Compare will be subject to slight changes once final transmission charges are known, the ComEd Prices to Compare appear to already reflect ComEd's updated Transmission Services Charge effective June 2013 through May 2014, which is 0.914 cents per kWh.

For all rate zones, the Ameren Price to Compare for non-space heating customers will be 4.66 cents per kWh for June 2013 to September 2013, and 4.941 for October 2013 to May 2014 (Metro East customer winter Price to Compare is 4.496 cents per kWh for usage above 800 kWh).

See PlugIn Illinois chart for Prices to Compare for Ameren space heat customers.

The Ameren Prices to Compare assume a Transmission Services Charge of 0.57 cents per kWh.
