Retail supplier AMERIgreen has launched a new rewards program for its electricity and natural gas customers.
Powered by Billaway, the new program enables customers to earn credits through their everyday shopping both in stores and online, and then apply those credits directly to their energy bill.
Active in Pennsylvania, AMERIgreen offers electricity at PPL, PECO and Met-Ed, and natural gas at Columbia Gas, PECO, and UGI.
In addition to offering its own customers this new advanced bill payment/rewards platform, AMERIgreen has also secured rights to offer the platform to distribution partners who deliver energy products to consumers.
Through this program, consumers can shop at more than 20,000 participating grocery, drug and online stores using their registered credit, debit and store loyalty cards to earn credits. Customers can then redeem those credits to reduce their monthly bills at the point of payment.
"Billaway provides AMERIgreen with a clear advantage in how we service our customers and distributors," said Steve McCracken, AMERIgreen President.
When consumers receive their monthly bill, they can now log in to their new rewards account, confirm their latest bill, and apply earned credits to reduce the bill amount at the point of payment.
