Ohio Opens Proceeding on Potential Adverse Rate Impacts from AEP Ohio Transition to Market-Based Rates

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has opened a proceeding to review potential adverse rate impacts for AEP Ohio customers during the transition to market based rates.

PUCO issued a request for stakeholder comment on the following:

• cross subsidies among tariff classes;

• phase-outs of historic rate design mechanisms;

• methodologies to transition to market based rates;

• potential impacts on high winter usage customers
