Verde Energy Continues Expansion to Retail Natural Gas Market

Verde Energy USA has taken its next step in its expansion to the natural gas market.

Specifically, Verde Energy USA Pennsylvania, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes at National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., UGI Utilities, PECO, Peoples Natural Gas Company, LLC, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania Inc., Equitable Gas Company, and Valley Energy, Inc.

Verde Energy originally announced an expansion from retail electricity supply and services into natural gas in 2011, with an initial focus on New Jersey, but did not immediately replicate this expansion to gas in its other markets, instead focusing on other areas (such as building its book through municipal aggregation).
