UGLY: Two Pennsylvania Utilities See Decline in Residential Shopping Exceed 1,000 Accounts for Week

Two Pennsylvania electric distribution utilities saw the decline in residential shopping exceed 1,000 accounts for the most recent week, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.
Statewide, from about August 1 to August 7 (reporting date varies slightly by utility), Pennsylvania saw residential electric shopping decrease by an aggregate of 1,250 accounts, versus a week-ago increase of 1,800, per the data on the PUC migration chart.
Both Duquesne Light and PECO saw the decline in the number of residential customers on competitive supply exceed 1,000 accounts over the past week.
Specifically, from about August 1 to August 7 (report date varies slightly by utility), the weekly growth (loss) in residential electric customers on competitive supply at each EDC was:
