YEP Energy Offering Service in New Territories

EnerPenn USA, LLC d/b/a YEP Energy has launched residential service at Met-Ed and Penelec in Pennsylvania.

At Met-Ed, YEP Energy is offering residential customers the following offers (¢/kWh):

12 Months Fixed:                  8.59¢
24 Months Fixed:                  8.32¢
Monthly Variable:                 8.51¢
6 Months Fixed, 100% Green:       9.29¢ 
12 Months Fixed, 100% Green:      9.09¢ 
24 Months Fixed, 100% Green:      8.82¢
Monthly Variable, 100% Green:     9.01¢

The 6 and 12 month non-green fixed rates are not listed on YEP Energy's website but are listed on the Office of Consumer Advocate's price chart.

At Penelec, YEP Energy is offering residential customers the following offers, per the OCA chart (¢/kWh):

6 Months Fixed:                   8.55¢
12 Months Fixed:                  8.28¢
24 Months Fixed:                  7.98¢
Monthly Variable:                 8.48¢
6 Months Fixed, 100% Green:       9.05¢ 
12 Months Fixed, 100% Green:      8.78¢ 
24 Months Fixed, 100% Green:      8.48¢
Monthly Variable, 100% Green:     8.98¢

Per the OCA price chart, the fixed rates have an early termination fee of $10 per month for each month remaining in the contract term (not to exceed $150).

YEP Energy's terms of service describe the early termination fee as such: "Equals the total electricity price paid by you under your Agreement in cents/kWh multiplied by your highest monthly kWh usage (as may be reasonably forecasted by YEP in any given month) and times the remaining months in the Initial Term, not to exceed three (3) months if your remaining term is 12 months or fewer, and not to exceed six (6) months if your remaining term is 13 months or more. The Early Cancellation Fee shall not be less than $150.00, but there will be no Early Cancellation Fee if you cancel within 30 days prior to your Initial Term’s end."
