Tradition Energy to Manage Energy Purchasing Cooperative Covering 90,000 Public Agencies
Tradition Energy announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract to provide energy consulting and management services to the participants in the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance, covering 90,000 public sector entities, including state and local governments, K-12 and higher education, special districts, and eligible non-profit agencies. Tradition Energy said that this is the first time the U.S. Communities cooperative purchasing program has provided access to a competitively solicited contract for energy consulting and management services. Through the contract, Tradition Energy will provide a comprehensive suite of services to public agencies, including procurement of electricity, natural gas, renewable energy and transportation fuels, procurement aggregation, demand response services, energy data management and reporting, energy bill processing and payment, energy risk management, market research and intelligence reporting and energy bill auditing and tariff rate analysis.
GNYHA Services Selects Constellation as Authorized Electricity Supplier
Constellation was recently selected by GNYHA Services, Inc., an acute care group purchasing organization and supply chain management company, as an authorized supplier of electricity within its regional group purchasing program. The three-year agreement between Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. and GNYHA Services, Inc. will allow more than 180 hospitals and 900 non-acute care facilities in New York State to aggregate power requirements and obtain pricing that is based on competitive bids in New York's wholesale power supply market.
