"This Policy Leadership Roundtable is intended to be the first ever policy discussion to shape a new paradigm for transitioning a monopoly market to a competitive market and monetizing the economic value associated with the transition and then discussing how to allocate that value," said NEM President Craig Goodman.

"We plan to have Public Officials, leaders of energy and technology companies as well as consumer advocates and utility executives who wish to have a serious discussion on How to turn the 20th Century Obligation to Serve using ratepayer backed funds into a 21st Century Opportunity to Serve the Public Interest using private at risk capital," Goodman said.
