Start-up ESCO Preparing to Launch Operations

A start-up power marketer, Premier Empire Energy, LLC, is working to launch operations, including retail electric and natural gas service.

Premier Empire Energy, LLC (PEEL) has sought market-based rate authority at FERC.

"PEEL seeks to become a power marketer, purchasing electricity and reselling it to wholesale and retail customers," the company said in its FERC application.

PEEL is owned by four individuals who, collectively, control 100% of the voting membership interests in PEEL. These individuals are William Serratore, Pearse Hussey, Carmelo Luppino and Andrew Savage

PEEL's website indicates that it will operate in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Illinois, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
