Retail energy supplier Energy.me announced that 20 months since its launch, it has acquired 6,000 mid-market commercial customers, or the equivalent of 230,000 residential customers.
Energy.me announced that it has appointed Co-Founder Matt Garrison as CEO. Nate Laurell, also a Co-Founder, has been named as Chairman.
Garrison and Laurell will be charged with leading the broker-centric electricity supplier's continued expansion into New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, Washington D.C., and Arizona by the end of 2013.
Energy.me currently operates in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
The company emphasizes its broker-focused niche, leanness and pricing algorithms, and said that it has $180 million in contracted revenue.
"Energy.me is building the first and only national, 100% broker-centric supply platform," said Garrison.
Energy.me was founded in 2012 by Garrison, Laurell and Marc Muinzer.
