Veteran of Energy Plus, Independence Energy Launching New Retail Supplier

A founding team member of Independence Energy and former Director of Strategic Market Development for Energy Plus is launching a start-up retail energy supplier.

Specifically, DWP Energy Holdings, LLC applied for a Pennsylvania electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

DWP Energy Holdings is led by CEO Patrick Maloney, who was a founding team member, CIO, and Head of Strategic Market Development, Business Launch Management, Marketing Operations, Technology, and Regulatory Affairs for Independence Energy Group LLC.

In this capacity, Maloney was responsible for the strategic development and launch of a startup retail energy provider that became licensed and operational in 6 states and 17 utility footprints, and served over 50,000 customers in less than 9 months of operations.

Prior to this role, Maloney served as Director of Strategic Market Development, Director of Operations, and Director of Technology for Energy Plus Holdings LLC, a startup retail energy provider that grew to over 190,000 customers and 200 employees in less than 5 years.
