North American Power will formally launch its Georgia natural gas service today, for customers at Atlanta Gas Light.
North American Power will offer Georgia residential customers a natural gas product with a 25% carbon offset, and a product with a 100% carbon offset.
Terms will include 6 and 12 months fixed, as well as monthly variable.
North American Power declined to provide rates for this story.
North American Power's September pricing is not yet reflected on the Georgia PSC price chart.
However, in its August price filing with the PSC, North American Power had listed the following products for residential customers at AGL:
• Variable: $0.599 commodity charge (including interstate pipeline costs), plus a $5.95 customer charge
• 6 Months Fixed: $0.599 commodity charge (including interstate pipeline costs), plus a $5.95 customer charge. An early termination fee of $12.50 per month remaining on the contract applies
The above charges do not include the Base Charge from Atlanta Gas Light Company
North American Power is also planning to offer a prepaid natural gas product in Georgia, upon receipt of the requisite waiver from the PSC necessary to offer the product.
North American Power had previously announced an affinity program for Georgia customers in advance of its launch (click here)
North American Power also told EnergyChoiceMatters.com that it plans to enter additional utilities in Ohio and New Hampshire in the coming months.
