The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio approved results from an auction to procure 10% of Dayton Power & Light Standard Service Offer supplies for the period January 1, 2014 through May 31, 2017

The auction for 10% of SSO supplies for the delivery period January 1, 2014 through May 31, 2017 resulted in a tranche-weighted average price of winning bids of $49.32 per megawatt-hour

There were three winning bidders, from 10 registered bidders. The names of the winning bidders will remain confidential for 21 days

The auction rates will initially be blended with tariffed generation rates to result in the SSO rate, and eventually, in later years, also blended with other auction-sourced supplies.

During the term of its electric security plan, DP&L will conduct auctions for 10 percent of its SSO load for the period of Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2014; 40 percent for the period of Jan. 1, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2015; and 70 percent for the period of Jan. 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017.
