Pennsylvania Convention Center Selects Retail Supplier
The Pennsylvania Convention Center announced that NRG Business Solutions (a trade name for Reliant Energy Northeast) will be powering the Convention Center's facilities under a two-year agreement beginning in January 2014. The Convention Center’s electricity usage, which is estimated at 26,525 million (kWh) annually, will include 25 percent renewable energy as part of the recent agreement. The procurement was managed by Pro-Tech Energy Solutions.
United Illuminating Reports Default Service Suppliers
United Illuminating has disclosed Standard Service suppliers for the first half of 2014. Companies serving a portion of Standard Service load include Citigroup Energy Inc., Dominion Retail, Inc., Exelon Generation Company, LLC, NextEra Energy Power Marketing, LLC, and TransCanada Power Marketing Ltd. UI also reported that Hess Corporation will serve 100% of Last Resort Service load for the first quarter of 2014.
