Maine Adopts Nearly Three-Year Fixed Default Service Rate

The Maine PUC has adopted new Standard Offer electricity rates at Maine Public Service, including a 32-month fixed rate for residential and small & medium commercial customers

For residential and small & medium commercial customers at MPS, the new Standard Offer rate is $0.08493/kWh, effective from March 31, 2014 through October 31, 2016.

For large commercial customers, rates were set through February 28, 2017, with the rate generally fixed for about 12 months.

Specifically, for large commercial customers, the MPS Standard Offer rates are:
