National Grid said that the Rhode Island PUC has approved a new residential Standard Offer Service rate for the period beginning January 1, 2014.
"Between January 2014 and June 2014, the Standard Offer residential rate will be 8.55 cents per kilowatt-hour, compared with 6.35 cents per kWh during the final six months of 2013," National Grid said in a news release concerning the Rhode Island service area.
As listed on National Grid's website, the Rhode Island residential SOS rate is listed as 8.372¢/kWh; this includes the Standard Offer Adjustment Factor of (0.087¢)/kWh and Standard Offer Service Administrative Cost Factor of 0.104¢/kWh, but does not appear to include the Renewable Standard Energy Charge.
