Retail Energy Industry Veterans Join National Energy Marketers Association Board of Directors

The National Energy Marketers Association (NEM) announced the addition of Philip R. Van Horne, President and CEO of BlueRock Energy, Inc., and Bill Kinneary, President of North American Power, to its board of directors.

"Mr. Van Horne, and Mr. Kinneary are founding members of the Association and have served with distinction as former Chairs of NEM's Executive Committee. We are honored to have them on NEM's Board of Directors to help lead the future growth and development of both the Association and the retail energy industry," said Craig Goodman, President of NEM. "The retail energy expertise and experience of these leaders will strongly position NEM to address the urgent issues facing our industry now and into the future," said Goodman.

Van Horne is the President and CEO of BlueRock Energy, a privately-held energy solutions company based in Syracuse, New York, that provides electricity, natural gas and renewable energy products to small and medium-sized businesses across New York State. Van Horne founded BlueRock Energy in 2003, and his 35 years of energy experience includes executive leadership, energy trading and marketing, contract negotiation and administration, wholesale back office operations, interconnection, power system planning and systems development.

Prior to establishing BlueRock Energy, Van Horne was President and COO for Niagara Mohawk Energy Marketing, Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of operations for unregulated retail and wholesale natural gas and electricity.

Kinneary is President of North American Power & Gas, a position he has held since March of 2011. He has lifelong experience in the energy industry where he started as a field engineer at Brooklyn Union Gas in 1973. Kinneary has held the top executive positions at KeySpan Energy Services, KeySpan Energy Supply and Total Gas & Electric.
