Loss of Customers on Competitive Supply Accelerates in Pennsylvania

After two weeks of a (relatively) moderated decline in residential shopping, the first week of May saw an acceleration in the loss of Pennsylvania residential customers on competitive supply, according to the latest stats from the PUC
Specifically, the Pennsylvania retail electric market lost 6,500 residential customers on competitive supply from about May 1 to May 7, an increase from the loss of 4,800 residential shoppers seen in each of the two immediately prior weeks.
From about May 1 to May 7 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply was:
Duquesne Light (1,242) Met-Ed (741) PECO (1,086) Penelec (846) Penn Power (87) PPL (1,176) West Penn Power (1,327)
For comparison, the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from about April 24 to April 30 at each utility was:
Duquesne Light (959) Met-Ed (535) PECO (16) Penelec (847) Penn Power (4) PPL (1,331) West Penn Power (1,128)
