Pennsylvania Approves Assignment of Default Service Contracts

Pennsylvania has approved the assignment of 23 tranches of load following contracts supplying default service at the FirstEnergy utilities.

Specifically, an unidentified default service supplier had requested to assign its responsibility to deliver 23 tranches of commercial class default service supply obligations in total for Met-Ed, Penelec and West Penn Power commercial electric customers for delivery either during the period June 1 2013, to May 31, 2014, or during the period December 1, 2013, to May 31, 2015.

The identify of the supplier acquiring the contracts was also not identified.
