PECO Sees Hundreds of New Residential Shoppers, Rest of State Still Sees Decline in Switching

PECO saw a net increase of over 300 residential electric shoppers in the most recent week, but the rest of the state is still seeing a decline in residential electric shopping, according to the most recent stats from the PUC

Specifically, the Pennsylvania retail electric market lost 4,300 residential customers on competitive supply from about May 8 to May 14, versus the loss of 6,500 residential customers on competitive supply in the immediately prior week.

Most notable, PECO saw residential shopping increase by 351 in the most recent week, versus the week-ago decline of over 1,000 shoppers.

From about May 8 to May 14 (reporting date varies slightly by utility) the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply was:

For comparison, the weekly change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply from about May 1 to May 7 at each utility was:
