7 in 10 Sharyland Utilities Customers Make An Active Choice as Competition Introduced

The percentage of Sharyland Utilities customers who have made an active choice in their retail electric provider has increased to 71.1%, Sharyland reported yesterday.

The Sharyland Utilities (ex-Cap Rock) territory was opened to retail choice on May 1.

Prior to the assignment of customers to default REPs in advance of the May 1 switchover, 55% of customers had affirmatively selected a REP.
