Tradition Energy announced that David Nussbaum has joined the company to help support the continued growth of the firm's energy management and procurement services business in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut markets.
Nussbaum's over 25 years of retail and wholesale energy experience in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions has included leadership roles with companies such as Nextera and Gerald Commodities, Tradition said.
While at Nextera, he managed energy for municipalities, school districts and Fortune 500 companies, including a national passenger railroad corporation and a professional baseball stadium in New York.
In addition, Nussbaum led the sales effort for a large energy consortium in Illinois that included an aggregation of more than 350 schools totaling over 700,000 annual MWh.
Nussbaum was a member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) for 16 years where he traded crude oil, refined products, natural gas and power for major oil companies, utilities and hedge funds.
