The Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) and the Hampshire Council of Governments (HCOG) have announced a new partnership for energy services in the region.

A "core pillar" of the partnership will be to encourage additional CMRPC communities to participate in the Hampshire Council's electricity program for residents and businesses.

HCOG currently has a municipal aggregation program awaiting DPU approval, with some 36 communities to participate.
