EDF Trading Announces Senior Hire To Lead Its Business Development In North America

EDF Trading announced the appointment of Christopher McKey as Head of Business Development, North America.

McKey joins EDF from Goldman Sachs where he has spent the past 10 years operating at a senior level in the firm’s Commodity division in Europe and Asia. Most recently he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia Corporate Sales based in Singapore.

McKey will focus on identifying and structuring larger and longer term transactions in the energy trading space including but not limited to LPG, LNG, natural gas and electricity.

McKey's roles at Goldman Sachs have included Executive Director - Head UK/North Sea Corporate Sales, Executive Director - Co-Head, European Corporate Energy Sales, Managing Director - Head EMEA Corporate Metals/Agricultural Commodity Sales, Managing Director - Head Asia Corporate Metals/Agriculture/Coal/ Freight Sales. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was at AEP Energy Services, London, Enron Europe Ltd and Falcon Seaboard Power Corp.

McKey will report to Philipp Büssenschütt, Chief Commercial Officer, Origination and Business Development.
