Maine Standard Offer Rates Double

Standard Offer energy prices for the large non-residential classes at Central Maine Power and Bangor Hydro-Electric will essentially double for the month of December 2014.
At CMP, the December large customer Standard Offer energy price was set at $0.130423/kWh, reflecting all components billed on a kWh basis, including line losses and adders. The total Standard Offer rate will include this energy price plus a capacity charge of $4.1748/kW-month
At BHE, the December large customer Standard Offer energy price was set at $0.128470/kWh, reflecting all components billed on a kWh basis, including line losses and adders. The total Standard Offer rate will include this energy price plus a capacity charge of $5.2410/kW-month
The November large customer Standard Offer energy price at each utility is about 6¢/kWh.
