New Retail Supplier Enters PPL Market With Lowest Rate

Discount Energy Group has begun offering residential electric service at PPL Electric Utilities in Pennsylvania, and has the lowest rate posted on PA Power Switch.
Specifically, Discount Energy Group is offering residential electric customers at PPL a variable rate currently priced at 6.79¢/kWh. That's tied with Inspire Energy's variable rate for the lowest rate on PA Power Switch.
Discount Energy Group also offers the lowest fixed rate listed on PA Power Switch for PPL residential customers, offering a rate of 7.99¢/kWh fixed through May 31, 2015. There is no early termination fee.
Discount Energy Group also offers PPL residential customers a fixed rate of 8.99¢/kWh through December 31, 2015. The plan includes an enrollment bonus of a $50 gift card to Restaurant.com. There is no early termination fee.
