Retail Supplier Names New CEO, Hires Retail Market Vet

Agera Energy recently named Steve Laker as CEO.

Laker had joined Agera Energy in October 2014 as Vice President - Controller. Prior to joining Agera, Laker spent the past nine years as Chief Financial Officer of Steelways. Inc. where he was responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting and treasury. Before Steelways, Laker worked as the financial controller of Response Staffing and audit manager for Meridian Global Services.

Additionally, Agera Energy recently hired Sarah Kelly as Contract Administration and Data Services Manager. Kelly was most recently Director of Operations at Sunwave Gas & Power and previously served as Director of HOP Energy's Electric Division. Kelly is a 14-year veteran of the retail energy industry, and has also held various positions at U.S. Gas and Electric Inc., Hess Corporation, and Select Energy.
