On December 3, 2015, Luminant Generation Company LLC provided ERCOT written notice that it has cancelled the planned suspension of Martin Lake Unit 1 (MLSES_UNIT 1).
Luminant on July 1, 2015 had filed a Notification of Suspension of Operations which had indicated that, effective January 1, 2016, Martin Lake Unit 1 was to be mothballed seasonally, with a Seasonal Operation Period that begins on May 15 and ends on September 30 each year.
Because Luminant has cancelled the planned suspension of MLSES_UNIT1, Luminant will be required to submit a new Notification of Suspension of Operations if it proposes to mothball that resource in the future.
Luminant’s notice clarifies that the cancellation does not apply to the suspension of Martin Lake Unit 2 (MLSES_UNIT2), which began seasonal mothballed status on October 1, 2015, in accordance with the July 1, 2015 Notification of Suspension of Operations.
