Comcast Retail Energy Offers Launched in Texas

Energy Rewards, the Crius Energy brand offered via its marketing partnership with Comcast, has begun offering electric service in Texas
Residential rates are currently available via Energy Rewards' website for the Oncor and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric service areas. An index of Energy Rewards prices also includes AEP Texas Central, AEP Texas North, and Texas New-Mexico Power, but it was not clear if offers are live in such areas yet.
At both Oncor and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, Energy Rewards is offering a 12-month fixed rate with a 5% rebate on the customer's energy charges, excluding any taxes and fees, payable as a bill credit at the end of 12 months
At both Oncor and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, the Energy Rewards 12-month fixed, 5% rebate plan includes an average all-in rate, at 1,000 kWh, of 9.4¢/kWh, reflecting an energy charge of 8.90¢/kWh and a base charge of $4.95.
The plan includes an early termination fee of $20 per month remaining on the contract.
Enrollment bonuses available to Energy Rewards customers in Texas include a $20 prepaid Visa card, three months of one Comcast premium channel (valued at $52.95), and two Fandango tickets (valued at $30)
In Texas, Energy Rewards service is offered under the TriEagle Energy REP certificate
Texas is the fifth state in which Energy Rewards offers service; other states are Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, and California.
