WMECO Basic Service Rates To Fall Nearly 50%

Western Massachusetts Electric Company (Eversource) has filed with the Massachusetts DPU new basic service electric rates for large C&I customers for the three-month period beginning April 1, 2016

The new C&I rates, generally in the upper end of the 6¢/kWh range, are nearly 50% lower than the winter large C&I rates, which had exceeded 12¢/kWh

WMECO basic service rates are below, in ¢/kWh

Medium/Large C&I (G-2, T-4, T-2, T-5)

Monthly Variable Rates:
April:    7.425
May:      6.664
June:     6.678

Fixed Price: Apr. 1, 2016-Jun. 30, 2016: 6.912
