U.S. Retail Supplier Has "Eye" on Japan Market, Actively Pursuing European Expansion

Just Energy, in reporting earnings last week, says it has its "eye" on the newly opening Japanese retail electric market, and gave more specifics about its previously reported European expansion
"We also have an eye out for Japan," Just Energy co-CEO Deb Merril said in discussing international expansion
As reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, last week, Just Energy said that the company’s geographic expansion, "is centered on Europe where the Company expects to expand into two new nations within the next 18 months."
Merril gave further insight into the specific countries under consideration for expansion. Just Energy, which is already active in the U.K., is actively pursuing licenses and partnerships in about three to four new markets right now, with Merril stating that the company is looking at Ireland and markets in continental Europe such as Germany and the Netherlands
"[W]e have about five or six [international markets] on our radar screen right now," Merril said
In discussing new products, such as flat bill, solar, and a new storage product (previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last week, click here), Just Energy said that it is also bundling LED light bulbs with its service
