ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations for NRG Energy's Petra Nova Power I LLC, PNPI_GT2 unit.

The NSO indicates that this generation resource will be mothballed from the ERCOT system as of May 19, 2016 for a period not less than three months and not more than six months.

NRG had previously said in a FERC filing that the 75-MW Petra Nova Power I LLC plant was constructed to produce the steam and electricity needed to operate a post-combustion carbon dioxide capture, utilization and sequestration project NRG was developing at its 3,665 MW W.A. Parish Plant.
