Update: NYSEG Views Proposed Changes To Code of Conduct Name Provisions As Not Impacting Current Licensing of NYSEG Solutions Name

EnergyChoiceMatters.com reported yesterday on proposed changes to the NYSEG code of conduct contained in a joint proposal in NYSEG's rate cases (click here for details)
As noted yesterday, certain of the provisions included limits on the licensing of the utility's name to a non-affiliate, though the changes were stated to be, "for prospective application only."
In response to our inquiry regarding how such prospective application would be applied to any existing licensing agreement with an ESCO for the name NYSEG Solutions, a NYSEG corporate communications representative stated, "Appendix AA [the code of conduct changes] applies prospectively only, and our understanding is that it would not impact the past/current licensing of the NYSEG Solutions name."
