Pennsylvania saw aggregate residential electric shopping increase by a net of more than 5,000 accounts for a fourth consecutive month, according to the latest stats from PA Power Switch

From late January 2016 to late February 2016 (reporting date varies slightly by utility), Pennsylvania saw a net increase of 5,800 accounts in the number of residential electric customers who were on competitive supply statewide. This compares to growth of 8,700 accounts from December 2015 to January 2016

PPL and Duquesne Light saw residential shopping decline during February 2016. At PPL, it's unclear how much of its recent declines over the past few months were impacted by one-off events, such as the return of customers from a supplier exiting the market to default service (click here for details on this market exit)

The change in the number of residential customers on competitive supply at each utility from late January 2016 to late February 2016 was:

Duquesne Light (102)
Met-Ed 1,727
PECO 1,372
Penelec 757
Penn Power 1,535
PPL (394)
West Penn Power 948
