Retail Market Veterans Launching New Retail Supplier

Three retail market veterans are behind the launch of start-up retail supplier Current Power & Gas Inc., an Ohio application confirmed.
EnergyChoiceMatters.com first reported on Current Power & Gas' formation as a retail supplier earlier this month, but information on its principals were limited at that time
The Ohio application confirmed that Jennifer Gress Simpson and David Coburn serve as managing partners of Current Power & Gas.
Jennifer Gress Simpson, who also serves as CEO, previously served as Channel Partner Manager at MP2 Energy, and led PJM sales for the company. She has also held sales and marketing positions at Champion Energy Services, APG&E, and Border Energy.
David Coburn, who also serves as Chairman, has invested in several retail energy suppliers, including, "Just Energy, First Energy and Crius."
A third, undisclosed managing partner has background as a manager of pricing and risk management for several retail suppliers including MP2 Energy and Gexa
In Ohio, Current Power & Gas Inc. is seeking to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers at AEP Ohio and the FirstEnergy utilities
