NRG Reports "Best Retail Results" In Company's History

NRG Energy reported that it saw its, "best Retail results in NRG’s history," during 2015.
For the year 2015, NRG Home Retail recorded Adjusted EBITDA was $739 million, which is $135 million higher than the $604 million recorded in 2014, driven primarily by favorable supply costs and weather, "as well as continued effective customer operations and margin management across the portfolio."
NRG said that in its Home Retail business, "strong volumes and margins [were] underpinned by strength in supply/risk management execution."
"Continued customer acquisition and retention momentum drove customer count growth, excluding expected Dominion attrition," NRG said
At December 31, 2015, NRG Home Retail was serving 2.766 million customers, versus 2.771 million as of Q3 2015, and 2.844 million as of December 31, 2014, due to the aforementioned attrition from the previously acquired Dominion Retail electricity book. When excluding the impact of the Dominion attrition, Home Retail's customer count grew marginally in 2015
NRG Home Retail served 42.7 TWh in 2015, versus 41.5 TWh a year ago
NRG Home Retail fourth quarter 2015 Adjusted EBITDA was $144 million, $21 million lower than the fourth quarter of 2014, primarily due to lower volume driven by milder weather.
