Energy Marketer Names Market Veteran As CEO, Closes New Funding

Renewable Power Direct (RPD), a wholesale power marketer focused on serving corporate clients, has hired Eric Alam as CEO
With an energy marketing career spanning some 25 years, Alam has held executive and leadership roles at several retail energy brokers and suppliers
Alam was previously Senior VP Sales and Operations at World Energy, executive vice president at Commerce Energy, and was most recently executive vice president of sales at Viridity Energy
Alam will open a new office for Renewable Power Direct in Houston.
Renewable Power Direct also announced that it had closed a new investment round led by T. Wayne Gatlin and the company’s current equity holders. Gatlin is a co-founder of Santanna Energy Services (SES), and the only founder still active in ownership and direction of the company.
