Texas REP Offering New Smart Thermostat Plan

Gexa Energy has begun offering a residential electricity plan which includes, at no additional cost, a Honeywell Lyric Round Wi-Fi Thermostat

The Lyric smart thermostat is valued at $199

In the Oncor service area, the Gexa Lyric 24 Plan is a 24-month fixed rate plan with an average all-in rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 9.7¢/kWh. This reflects a fixed energy charge of 5.53¢/kWh, and TDU charges of $5.25 per month and 3.64¢/kWh. A monthly service fee of $9.95 applies per billing cycle where usage is less than 1,000 kWh.

In the CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric service area, the Gexa Lyric 24 Plan is a 24-month fixed rate plan with an average all-in rate (at 1,000 kWh) of 10.9¢/kWh. This reflects a fixed energy charge of 6.03¢/kWh, and TDU charges of $5.47 per month and 4.32¢/kWh. A monthly service fee of $9.95 applies per billing cycle where usage is less than 1,000 kWh.

An early termination fee of $295 applies.
