ERCOT issued a final determination of RMR status for Calpine's generation resources CTL_GT_102, CTL_GT_103, CTL_GT_104, CTL_ST_101, and CTL_ST_102 (Clear Lake units)

Calpine had submitted a Notification of Suspension of Operations indicating that the units will be decommissioned and retired February 1, 2017.

Using changes to RMR study criteria under recently adopted NPRR788, ERCOT has completed additional studies and confirmed that the Calpine units CTL_GT_102, CTL_GT_103, CTL_GT_104, CTL_ST_101, and CTL_ST_102, are now not needed to support ERCOT transmission system reliability.

As such, Calpine may decommission and retire the units on February 1, 2017.
