In a rehearing order concerning a PPA rider at AEP Ohio, PUCO affirmed that terms of a previously adopted stipulation concerning the rider, including retail market enhancements, remain in effect.
The stipulation requires that AEP Ohio seek various retail market enhancements; however, implementation remains subject to future PUCO order. PUCO has not adopted any specific retail market enhancements in its PPA order or on rehearing
As previously reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, AEP Ohio has already proposed to implement a bypassable default service adder (Competition Incentive Rider, or CIR). PUCO Staff has provided an initial CIR level for inclusion in AEP Ohio's proposal of $0.62/MWh. See details here
Per the undisturbed stipulation, AEP Ohio is also to propose the creation of a customer referral program pilot, "providing an EDU third-party agent call transfer process to educate and enroll interested customers moving and initiating service and to establish a procedure for the offering of a standard discount rate providing a guaranteed discount off the price to compare without early termination fees."
Furthermore, the settlement included a proposal for a pilot supplier consolidated billing program (click here for details)
