TriEagle Energy is offering North Texas customers a community solar product (SunEagle) through an alliance with Cypress Creek Renewables
The SunEagle product offers a Personal Solar License for $49.50 which, for five years, guarantees the customer 500 kWh from Cypress Creek's 5-megawatt solar farm located in Walnut Springs, Texas. In the Oncor service area, the SunEagle product is a 60-month fixed rate with an all-in charge of 9.9¢/kWh for usage above 500 kWh. The product is 100% renewable, with RECs supplementing the 500 kWh of local solar power.
An early termination fee applies, equal to $2.00 multiplied by the number of months remaining on the contract.
TriEagle Energy's parent company, Crius Energy, plans to expand its work with Cypress Creek Renewables in the coming months to offer community solar programs to more customers.
