PUC Approves Auction For Divestiture Of Utility-Owned Generation

The New Hampshire PUC has approved the design for an auction for Public Service of New Hampshire to divest its utility-owned generation
Once such divestiture is completed, PSNH is to begin providing default service to customers in a manner similar to the state's other investor-owned utilities (which rely on competitive RFPs for procurement), or any successor design of default service (potential default service changes remain pending in Docket IR 14-338)
The PUC generally adopted, with some minor modifications the design and schedule from its auction advisor, which calls for final bids for the assets by mid-May 2017
