Canadian retail energy supplier Link Energy announced expansion plans that includes entry in the U.S. market, and has made several hires to support expansion.

Link Energy named Paul DuMaresq as President. DuMaresq previously worked at Shell Energy North America in the Energy Retailer Group for 15 years, and his career in deregulated energy spans over 30 years.

Link Energy named Darryl Parent as Chief Operating Officer. Parent was most recently Senior VP, Energy Operations for Planet Energy and has held senior roles at Direct Energy and Universal Energy in a deregulated energy career that dates to the late 1980s

Link Energy is preparing to expand into two new Canadian markets in Q1 2017 and will enter its first U.S. market in Q3 2017
