Norman Bay Resigns From FERC, Trump Names LaFleur Acting Chairman

President Trump named Cheryl LaFleur Acting Chairman of FERC
LaFleur has been a member of the Commission since 2010, and previously served as Acting Chairman of the Commission from November 2013 to July 2014 and as Chairman from July 2014 until April 2015.
Previously, LaFleur served as executive vice president and acting CEO of National Grid USA
Norman Bay, who had served as FERC Chair until Trump's appointment of LaFleur, resigned his appointment from the Commission effective as of February 3, 2017
Among other things, Bay's tenure as Chairman included an increased emphasis on enforcement, particularly with respect to the wholesale power market
