U.S. Retail Supplier Entering Japan, Said To Be Second U.S. Supplier Licensed In Market

PALMco Energy announced its first international expansion with the introduction of electricity supply services into the Japanese energy market. The service will be provided by Family Energy, GK, an affiliate of PALMco Energy.

PALMco Energy said that it is the second U.S. retailer to secure a license to participate in Japan's retail market, and plans to begin offering service for consumers and small businesses this July. Family Energy, GK will offer service in all markets by yearend.

PALMco Energy is a privately-owned retail provider of electricity and natural gas that supplies electricity and natural gas in Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Sister company Columbia Utilities supplies electricity and natural gas in New York

Xoom Energy (click here), Ambit Energy (click here), and Spark Energy, through a JV with eREX, (click here) are among other U.S. retail suppliers that have or are expanding to Japan
