New York Senate Confirms Three New Commissioners To New York PSC

The New York State Department of Public Service announced that John B. Rhodes was confirmed by the New York State Senate to serve as a commissioner of the New York Public Service Commission (PSC).
In addition to Chairman Rhodes, James Alesi and Philip Wilcox were also confirmed by the Senate to serve as PSC Commissioners. Further, the Senate reconfirmed Diane X. Burman for a six-year term as a PSC Commissioner.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo will designate Rhodes as Chairman of the PSC.
Prior to his appointment at the PSC, Rhodes had served as President and CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) since September 16, 2013.
Rhodes previously spent three years as a member of the senior management team at Good Energies, an investment firm focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency. Rhodes also previously served as Director for the Center for Market Innovation at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)
Wilcox has served as a Western Division Business Representative for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 97 and as a member of Upstate Energy Jobs
Alesi is a former New York State Senator (Republican)
