Beyond Power, a trade name of Source Power & Gas LLC used in Texas, has updated its website to confirm that it transitioned its residential customers to, as stated on its website, Cirro Energy during May and June, and that Beyond Power no longer serves residential customers
Source's parent, ERM Power Limited, previously announced the sale of the Source Power & Gas residential electricity retailing business for approximately US$11 million, subject to usual completion adjustments, but at such time did not disclose the identity of the purchaser. ERM retained Source's C&I business.
Reports from Texas customers of Source Power shortly after the announcement indicated that they were being transitioned to Cirro Energy, but to date neither company had publicly disclosed the purchaser in the acquisition.
It is understood some of the Source and Beyond Power residential customers may have been transitioned to another of NRG's retail brands, namely Green Mountain Energy, depending on the specific customer's circumstances (e.g. product type, etc.)
