Constellation NewEnergy, Inc. is to acquire Aspirity Energy, LLC's retail customers, under a settlement filed in Aspirity Energy, LLC's bankruptcy proceeding.
Aspirity Energy, LLC's bankruptcy was previously reported by RetailEnergyX.com
Under the settlement filed with the bankruptcy court, Aspirity Energy, LLC proposes to settle all the claims asserted by Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), the only secured creditor of and supplier of power to the Aspirity Energy, LLC's approximately 12,000 customers, by assigning such customers to Constellation
The Aspirity Energy, LLC customer book includes residential and small commercial customers in PJM, including in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
The settlement and assignment remains subject to approval of the bankruptcy court
